Well Done! Thou good and faithful servant(s)
A Kiribati flag with all missionaries names on it
This week we said "Good-Bye" to our mission leaders, President and Sister Kendall. What inspiring leaders they are. They are over the Marshall Islands and Kiribati. 2 differnt countries, 2 different native languages, 2 different currencies, really - 2 different missions . They are loved and will be sorely missed. We had a farewell dinner with all the senior couples. The members of the church held a celebration in their honor at Moroni High School. Lots of dancing and food.
The young proselyting Elders and Sister waiting
for the celebration to begin.
Mission rules: they had to leave at 9:00pm whether the
celebration is over or not. They were obedient and left on
time after singing "Army of Helaman"

Honored Guest always dance as part of the celebration.
Silliness is alway encouraged because the Kiribati
people love to laugh. The elder in the background
provided the silliness.
Dancing - The Elders serving in that area were invited
to join the dance.
More dancing.
Keith and I were invited to attend a 3-day emergency response exercise that was hosted by Australia. The goal was to create a platform for local government representatives to discuss what standard operating proceedures should be in place in case of a natural disaster. They used a cyclone as the example, But because of how it's located on the equator, Kiribati generally doesn't get cyclones. But it still initiated very interesting discussions.
Group photo - yes, we are wearing matching shirts

Youth night at family history (located in the computer lab
on Moroni High School
We went back to both Saint Maria High School and the outpatient department at the hospital to see if there were any additional needs for the donated computers, like cables to attach them to the monitors. Neither one had installed them yet. It's alway good to have patience, but a little push is good too.
